Real-Time steganography: embedding and extracting messages
Abstract
Steganography is one of the methods used to ensure data security during data transmission while sending data to the recipient. In this study, the processes of recording images taken through a camera, adding secret messages to these images using steganographic techniques, and then successfully retrieving these added messages are discussed. The system developed in this study can operate in real-time, invisibly embed user-specified textual content into digital video data, and then read back the embedded message with high accuracy. The performance of the system was evaluated using metrics such as PSNR (Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) and MSE (Mean Squared Error). During the tests, AVI format video files were analyzed and it was observed that this format provides high data integrity and allows for accurate extraction of embedded messages. The proposed method offers a practical and effective alternative, especially for applications that require data security and information privacy.
